Who we are

Who is behind SEOS Design, where we are based and how we are organised.

Who are SEOS Design?

SEOS Design is a web agency on Södermalm in Stockholm, founded in 2021. We build websites designed to be found for the right queries and to convert. We create visibility organically through SEO and AI SEO, and through paid channels with Google Ads and social media. If you need more than a website, we also develop apps and automate manual processes for you. We build websites in Webflow, as coded websites with a headless CMS, or in Shopify for e-commerce.

Our clients are startups, scale-ups and small and medium-sized businesses all over Sweden. A selection of our work is described under case studies, each with the challenge, the work and the outcome.

Who runs SEOS Design?

Three founders, who also do the project work themselves. Douglas Ekman leads strategy, SEO and visibility in AI answers. Anton Sahibzada is a systems developer and builds coded websites, apps and integrations. Elliot Eslander is responsible for design and UX.

Where are you based – and do you only work in Stockholm?

We are at Götgatan 19 in Stockholm and are happy to meet you there or at your offices. Most of the work is done online, and our clients are all over Sweden, from medtech companies to chauffeur firms and business networks. We also build multilingual websites, including Learnifier's in Swedish, English, Norwegian and German.

How big is SEOS?

We are a small web agency that works closely with its clients. We currently have four employees and work with external specialists in areas such as security, whom we bring in for specific tasks on particular projects. SEOS always retains overall responsibility for the project. We never take on more projects than we can give our full attention – our business depends on clients recommending us.

What is AI Partner – and how does it relate to SEOS?

AI Partner is our sister brand for AI automation: RPA, AI agents and RAG systems for companies that want to automate inefficient processes. Read more at aipartner.se.

Is SEOS a web agency, an SEO agency or an AI agency?

All three, and the combination is the point. Most of what goes into web, SEO and visibility in AI answers can be bought piece by piece. What makes the difference is when the parts fit together: a website built to rank and convert, content that people and AI assistants want to cite, and a technical foundation that makes it all readable for machines. Our clients see real value in having one digital partner for the whole picture – including the strategy.

What we do – and for whom

Services, platforms and the companies we suit – and the ones we ask to wait.

What services does SEOS offer?

New websites and rebuilds, app development, SEO and AEO (visibility in AI answers), Google Ads, conversion rate optimisation, social media advertising, website maintenance and automation. You will find what each service includes, how we work and indicative prices under services.

The most common set-up is a new website followed by ongoing SEO, because a website nobody finds brings in no enquiries. Each part can also be bought on its own.

How do you build websites?

Three tracks. Webflow when your team needs to change the design and layout visually themselves. A coded website with a headless CMS (Astro or Next.js with, for example, Sanity) when performance, custom integrations, owning the code or efficient further development with AI matter most. Shopify for e-commerce. We only build in WordPress in exceptional cases, when there is a clear reason to.

Which companies are you the best fit for?

Startups, scale-ups and small and medium-sized businesses where the website needs to bring in enquiries. Our clients usually have a marketing team of one to three people, or none at all, and a website that is old or hard to update – or no website at all.

Our indicative prices start at SEK 25,000 (≈ €2,200) for a smaller website or landing page; most websites come in between SEK 50,000 and 135,000 (≈ €4,500–12,000). Ongoing SEO starts at SEK 10,000 (≈ €900) a month. All excluding VAT. If your budget is below that, we can often point you to a simpler route, but then we are rarely the right supplier for the build itself.

When are you not the right fit – and what happens then?

We ask you to wait if your offering is going to change in the coming months, if the website is about to be rebuilt for other reasons, or if nobody on your side has time to supply content and feedback. Otherwise the project gets delayed and the SEO work ends up built on the wrong foundation.

We are the wrong agency if you want PR and events from the same supplier. Film and photography, on the other hand, we cover through an external consultant we work with. Either way, we tell you what needs to be in place first and when to get back in touch.

Which industries have you worked with?

A selection: medtech (Suturion, Cymbathera, Eyedentity), SaaS and education (Learnifier), cleantech (SeaPattern, Renasens), proptech (Zerotude), company formation services (Startabolag), chauffeur services (Leading Car Service), business support and business networks (Tillväxtstöd, Nätverket 100 %) and design agencies (Paper Digital). Each case under case studies describes the challenge, what we did and what it achieved.

We are used to regulated industries. For medtech, we write within the client's approved claims, with an approval step before anything is published.

Our website was built by another agency – can you take it over?

Yes, we often do. We start by reviewing the ownership, the build and where the SEO stands. Then we suggest ongoing help through a block of pre-paid hours or a maintenance agreement. Sometimes it makes more sense, and costs less, to rebuild than to patch holes – in that case we suggest a new website and carry over what is worth keeping. Read more under maintenance and support.

How we work

From the first call to launch, and what we need from you along the way.

How does a project work – from the first call to launch?

Here is how it goes:

  1. A first call where we work out whether we are a good fit: what the website should do for your business and how much you depend on it.
  2. A discovery call about goals, buyers, decisions and what you have today.
  3. A price estimate within two working days, then a fixed-price quote, with any add-ons and third-party costs on separate lines.
  4. A project plan you approve before anything is built.
  5. Development with regular check-ins, and launch, normally four to six weeks. We adjust until both you and we are happy with the result.
  6. Afterwards you choose whether to run the website yourselves or keep us as an ongoing partner.

The whole process is described under from enquiry to fixed price on the quote page.

How much time do we need to put in ourselves?

Less than most people think, but not zero. What we need from you is decisions, content and feedback: answers to the questions in the discovery call, whatever material exists (logo, brand guidelines, copy, images) and one person who can sign things off.

Your availability at the start matters most. Nobody knows your business, your customers and your industry like you do, and those insights are what the strategy is built on: what the buyer needs to understand, which objections you meet and what decides the deal. If we get that time, the new website can deliver the value it should; without it, we are building on assumptions.

What delays projects is almost always late feedback or nobody owning the decisions on the client side, rarely the technology. That is why we ask in the very first call who signs off and how much time you can put in, and plan accordingly.

What does AI do, and what do people do, in your work?

We use AI throughout the process, in workflows we build and refine ourselves and that are at the forefront of what is possible today. It is one of the reasons we can deliver quickly at a fixed price. AI gives us pace and scale: drafts, research, code suggestions and analysis of large amounts of data.

People handle the steps that decide the outcome. We set the strategy and the goals together with you. The insights about your business, your buyers and your industry come from you and from us, not from a model. Angle, facts and tone are reviewed by a person before anything is published, any figures we state are sourced, and no text goes out without one of us having read it.

Google does not penalise content because AI was involved, according to Google's guidance on AI-generated content. What shows, to readers and to Google alike, is content that no human has taken responsibility for.

Who does the work – can we talk to the person building it?

Yes. Our business comes from our own search engine optimisation and from clients recommending us – we have no sales department handing you over to a team you have never met. If we bring in a specialist from outside the team, for a security review for example, the quote states who it is and what they do.

How do you measure whether the work is having an effect?

We set a measurement plan before the first piece of work. It states what counts as a lead for you (a booked meeting, a quote request, a demo), which sources are kept separate and where you stand today. If a figure is missing, we write 'don't know' and make it the first task.

We measure using your own sources: Google Search Console, GA4 and your forms. We use visibility in AI answers as a diagnostic rather than a goal, because measurements there are snapshots. If an improvement cannot be substantiated, we report it as a trend, not as a definite result.

Can we update the website ourselves afterwards – without being technical?

Yes, whichever track you choose. In Webflow you edit everything visually: copy, images, pages and sections. On a coded website with a headless CMS you edit copy, images, blog posts and new pages in the CMS without a developer. It is built to be easy for non-technical users. In Shopify you manage products, prices and pages in the store's own interface.

On a coded website, new sections and features are added either by us, as part of maintenance, or through AI agents you can talk to. The agents help you develop the website within the limits we have set, and a person reviews everything before it goes live. Read more about agentic web development.

We need a new website fast – how quickly can you launch?

Two to three weeks, with a limited scope and frequent check-ins.

Eyedentity is one example: a startup with a hard deadline that had its brand guidelines turned into a launched website in under three weeks. You can read what they say about working with us in the case study. A project at normal pace takes four to eight weeks.

Prices and agreements

Indicative prices, maintenance, payment and minimum terms. A fixed price before anything is built.

What does it cost to work with you?

A landing page or smaller website from SEK 25,000 (≈ €2,200), most websites between SEK 50,000 and 135,000 (≈ €4,500–12,000) and larger projects from SEK 140,000 (≈ €12,500), excluding VAT. You always get a fixed price before anything is built. What ongoing SEO costs is covered in the next question.

The indicative prices in detail, with examples of what is included at each level, are under prices on the quote page. If you would like to work it out yourselves: the calculator for what a website costs to build and own.

What do you charge for SEO per month?

Usually between SEK 10,000 and 50,000 (≈ €900–4,500) a month, excluding VAT, depending on competition and how much content needs to be produced. Small companies in low-competition niches can often manage with less, especially when the groundwork was laid as part of a new website.

We often start with a fixed-price SEO audit, so that the ongoing work follows a plan. The plan is reprioritised based on what works, and the agreement has no minimum term. What is included and how it compares with other agencies: what an SEO agency costs in Sweden.

What does maintenance cost – and do we need it?

No, maintenance is never a requirement. What it costs depends on what you need: how much needs updating, whether we handle operations and monitoring, and how quickly you want help. Agreements usually start at SEK 2,000 (≈ €180) a month and have no minimum term; if you would rather pay by the hour, that is fine too.

Webflow websites often manage without an agreement, because the platform takes care of hosting, security and backups. For a coded website, maintenance is often a good idea if you do not have your own developer; clients with their own technical team take over completely. Details under maintenance and support.

Is there a minimum term?

No. None of our agreements has a minimum term – not SEO, not maintenance, not advertising. Ongoing agreements are paid monthly and can be cancelled before the next month starts. We have to earn the right to continue, every month.

How and when do we pay?

Usually an upfront payment of 20 per cent when the project starts and the rest at launch, or split into stages if you prefer – the arrangement is set out in the quote. Ongoing agreements are invoiced monthly. All prices are stated excluding VAT.

What happens if the scope changes during the project?

Revisions within the agreed scope are included, and we do not count rounds – we adjust until you and we are both happy, within reason. An extra page or an adjusted section fits within the price. Anything new compared with the quote, such as advanced new features or integrations, we price before we do the work.

What is not included in the price?

Hosting, the domain and licences for platforms and tools. You usually pay these directly to the supplier, in your own name; sometimes the hosting, for example, is in our name and we re-invoice the cost. For Webflow and Shopify it is the platform subscription; for a coded website it is hosting, usually with Vercel, and the CMS licence when one is needed. The amounts are in the quote so that you can work out the total cost for year one and year three, not just the build price.

(05)

Ownership and peace of mind

Who owns what, and what happens if we part ways.

Do we own the website, the code and the content afterwards?

Yes. Accounts are created in your name, the project is transferred to you at launch, and the code, design and content are yours. For a coded website, the source code sits in your own repo. Some clients prefer to keep the repo and hosting with us, for example, which is absolutely fine – if we stop working together, we always transfer ownership to you. For Webflow and Shopify the website lives on the platform, in your account: you own the account and the content.

What happens if we want to switch agency or stop working with you?

You tell us, and the agreement ends before the next month starts. Everything you need to move on is yours: accounts, code, content and analytics data are in your name from the start, and anything we hold at your request, such as the repo or hosting, we transfer to you when we finish. Another developer can take over a coded website straight away, and you can run a Webflow website yourselves or hand it over to another Webflow agency. We help with the handover.

Who is listed as the owner of the domain, hosting, Search Console and analytics?

You, always. The domain, hosting, platform account, Google Search Console and GA4 are yours – we work as invited users.

Will we lose rankings when we change website or agency?

Not if the switch is done properly. With a new website, we list your current pages and their traffic, set up redirects page by page and keep the content that ranks. After launch, we follow Search Console week by week. Some temporary movement in the first few weeks is normal; a lasting drop is almost always down to forgotten redirects or removed content.

How we do it: step by step – how to migrate without losing rankings.

Where is the website hosted – and how do you handle GDPR?

We normally host coded websites on Vercel, Webflow websites on Webflow's own hosting and e-commerce on Shopify, always in your account. Measurement with GA4 and similar tools only starts once the visitor has given consent, and we set up the cookie banner, privacy policy and forms in line with the GDPR's requirements on consent and information. Personal data from forms is stored in your own environment.

(06)

Proof and results

Clients, reviews, results – and what we do not promise.

Do you have reviews – where can we read them?

Our reviews are on our Google Business Profile. We also have a number of client quotes on the website, always from real people with their name and role, written by the clients themselves.

What results can you show?

We are happy to share results from our work with clients, but for confidentiality reasons not every result is published on the website – the ones that are can be found in each case study.

This website is our own proof: our enquiries come through organic search. We also run a number of our own projects where we test new techniques and strategies in a safe environment before using them with clients.

Can you guarantee top rankings in Google and AI answers?

What we can guarantee is how we work: with methods proven over time, without shortcuts. Google's spam updates target content made to trick the algorithm; our process is built on quality content for real readers, so we do not need to worry about them. Every client we have done SEO for so far has seen very good results, and you can read what they say themselves in our case studies.

We cannot guarantee specific rankings, and nor can anyone else. Google and the AI models decide what is shown, competitors do not stand still and search behaviour changes. An agency that promises first place or a set number of citations in ChatGPT is selling something it does not control.

How do we know you are reputable – SEO agencies call us all the time?

We do not make cold calls. SEO is what drives our own business: clients find us by searching, exactly as we say their customers should find them. We practise what we preach.

What you can check before you get in touch: the case studies with names and outcomes, the reviews on Google and the fact that the agreements have no minimum term. If you would like to test us first, you are welcome to ask for a free price estimate.

(07)

Before you choose

The questions to ask yourselves before you hire anyone at all.

Is SEO worth it for a small business?

Often, but not always. SEO pays off when your customers search for what you sell, when you know what you want to be known for over the coming years and when you have time to supply material. We like to think of SEO as the compound interest of marketing: every page that ranks brings in traffic month after month, with no cost per click and without stopping when the budget runs out – and every new page is strengthened by what you have already built.

Do we need AEO – and how can we tell if AI is describing us wrongly?

Test it. Ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode the questions your customers ask, such as 'which suppliers offer X?' or 'can company Y do Z?', and see what answers you get. An AI assistant answers based on what it can read about you. If your website does not say that you can do X, the answer will be that you cannot, not that it is unknown.

You need AEO if your buyers research suppliers in AI tools before they get in touch, and if the answers about you are currently empty or wrong. A quick way to see where you stand is aeokollen.se, our own free tool. How we work with it: AI SEO agency.

Why not build the website ourselves – with AI or a simpler tool?

Sometimes you should. If you need a simple page that shows you exist, with few visitors and no expectation that it brings in enquiries, a simpler tool or an AI-generated page is often enough, and then that is what we recommend.

It is not enough when the website needs to bring in business. In that case, structure, content, speed and measurement decide how it ranks and converts, and that work is what takes time, not the build itself. AI makes the build faster, for us too, but it does not replace decisions about what to say to whom. Our own review of when it works: the decision map in the guide to vibe coding.

What usually goes wrong in website projects – and how do you avoid it?

The problems we hear about most often from clients who have used an agency before: feedback rounds with no clear end, unclear responsibility for the content and late feedback that pushes back the launch.

We counter them with three things. A project plan you approve before anything is built. One person on your side who owns the decisions, agreed in the first call. A fixed price, so that the scope is clear from the start and changes are decided openly. What you should ask every agency before you choose: sixteen questions for your web agency.
