SEO — AUDIT

SEO AUDIT SERVICES AT A FIXED PRICE

Our SEO audit services review your website in three layers – technology, content and how AI describes you – and end with an action list prioritised by business impact. A fixed price after a short call, with the start and delivery dates in writing. The audit is included if you have signed an ongoing SEO agreement. Otherwise it is a standalone deliverable that you, your developer or your agency can work from directly.

AN SEO AUDIT THAT ENDS IN AN ACTION LIST

Most of SEO can be bought piecemeal: a technical review here, keyword research there, a test of AI visibility somewhere else. Our SEO audit brings all three together in a single deliverable, reviewed by one person against the same business goals. Problems often hide where they meet.

Below, we describe what the audit covers, what happens afterwards, when it is the wrong purchase and how pricing works.

  1. Call, price and access

On a first call, we go through what you sell, to whom and which pages should bring in business. You then get a fixed price and a delivery date in writing, and give us read-only access to your search and analytics tools.

  2. Crawl and manual review

We crawl the website, pull keyword and link data and measure Core Web Vitals. Then we read your most important pages and test how AI services describe you.

  3. Prioritisation by business impact

Every finding is weighed against the others: what has the biggest impact on traffic and business, how much effort does it take and who does it? The result is a ranked list, not a log of warnings.

  4. Review and plan

We go through the report and the list with you in a meeting, answer questions and agree a plan: either you continue with us on an ongoing agreement, or you implement the list yourselves.

What does an SEO audit cost with us?

Fixed price after a call

The price of the audit is set after a call about your website and agreed before we start. The number of pages and languages, and whether there is an online shop, affect the scope. The report, prioritised action list and review meeting are included. Implementation is the next step and is priced separately.

The audit is included if you have signed an ongoing SEO agreement. Such an agreement is usually between SEK 10,000 and 50,000 (≈ €900–4,500) a month – but for smaller companies in less competitive niches that sell in Sweden, an ongoing partnership for less than SEK 10,000 (≈ €900) a month can be enough once the audit and the follow-up actions have laid the foundation. The agreement follows a plan that is reprioritised around what works, with no lock-in. The set-up is described on the page about our SEO service.

Common questions about SEO audits

What do you get in an SEO audit from us?

You get three things: a report on how your website performs in Google and in AI answers, an action list prioritised by business impact, and a review meeting where we go through the list together. The price is set after a call about your website and agreed before we start.

The action list is the real deliverable. Each item says what needs doing, why it matters for the business and roughly how much effort it takes. The order follows impact, not the number of warnings in a tool. A website can have hundreds of technical issues of which five really matter, and ten good pages that nobody finds because the titles are wrong. If the problems are so serious that the website needs rebuilding, we will recommend that rather than plugging holes in a sinking ship.

We pull the data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and PageSpeed Insights. The assessment is manual: we read your most important pages, test how AI services describe you and weigh the technology against the content and the business. If you would rather do the review yourselves, you will find the method in the step-by-step guide to an SEO audit. This page describes what you get when we do it for you.

What do you review – technology, content and AI visibility in the same audit?

The audit follows the three layers that make up search engine optimisation today. We explain why they belong together in the section on the three layers of SEO. In the audit, one person checks all three against the same business goals.

  • Technology. Crawlability and indexing: can Google reach the right pages, and does it stay away from the wrong ones? Sitemap, robots.txt and canonical tags. Core Web Vitals and load times on mobile. Schema markup, internal link structure, redirects and broken links. This is technical SEO – it decides whether the rest is visible at all.
  • Content and keywords. Keyword research weighted by buying intent: which searches lead to business, and is there a page that answers each one? Where you rank today for the searches that matter most, and which pages are close to page one. On-page SEO on the most important pages: titles, headings, meta descriptions and whether the page matches the search intent. Keyword cannibalisation, where two pages compete for the same search. A short overview of your backlinks compared with your competitors'.
  • AI visibility. How ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews describe you when someone asks about what you sell, and whether the answer is correct. Whatever AI services cannot find on your website, they fill in themselves – and a filled-in answer is more often a no than an "I don't know". The audit shows what is missing and how it needs to be written to be citable. That is the foundation of AEO.

The point is that the layers are reviewed together. A technical error can hide good content, and flawless technology does not help if the pages answer the wrong questions. The audit shows which layer is holding you back and in what order they should be addressed.

Are keyword research and AI visibility included, or just technology?

All three layers are included, and technology is just one of them. The other two are content and keywords – keyword research weighted by buying intent and on-page SEO on the most important pages – and AI visibility: how ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews describe you and whether the information the buyer needs exists in citable form. The layers are reviewed together, because problems often hide where they meet.

What happens after the audit?

You choose between two paths, and the list is written for both.

You continue with us. The audit is included if you have signed an ongoing SEO agreement. The baseline and the plan are ready, so the work can move straight to action. After that, we follow a plan that is reprioritised around what works, with no lock-in – you stay because the work delivers results, not because the contract says so. The set-up is described on the page about our SEO service.

You implement it yourselves. The action list is written so that your own developer or web agency can work from it directly: what needs changing, where, and how to check it has been done correctly. The content items are written for whoever looks after the copy on your side. The audit then ends with the review meeting and commits you to nothing further.

Is the audit included if we continue with you on an ongoing basis?

Yes. The audit is included if you have signed an ongoing SEO agreement. Nothing is done twice: the baseline, the keyword research and the action list are the foundation the partnership starts from, so the work can move straight to action. Continuing with us does not add any lock-in.

When is an SEO audit the wrong purchase?

In three situations – and in all three, we tell you on the call, before you pay.

  • When the website should be replaced. If the platform, the structure or the code is itself the problem, the action list becomes a list of things that cannot be fixed. At best, the audit is then input for a new build – see the page about a new company website.
  • When the problem is conversion, not traffic. If you already get clicks from searches with buying intent but few enquiries, it is not an SEO problem. A UX audit or CRO analysis is the right purchase, and you will find that service on the page about conversion rate optimisation. The SEO audit flags obvious conversion barriers along the way, but does not review them.
  • When you just want a number. If you want to know how the website performs technically right now, a free test will get you a long way. In the SEO audit guide mentioned above, you can run a PageSpeed test right on the page and learn how to interpret the result yourselves.

Nor does an audit replace ongoing work: the list is a baseline and an order of priority, and the results come when the items are implemented. If you already have an idea of what the problem is, the guide to why your website doesn't rank helps you narrow it down – the audit tells you which cause applies to you. If you already have an agency that reports against business goals, you probably do not need an audit from us.

What access do you need for the audit?

Read-only access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and a contact person who can tell us what you sell and to whom. We do not need access to your CMS for the audit itself – only if we later implement the actions. If you do not have Search Console, we set it up together, on an account you own.

Can you do the audit before we have chosen an SEO agency, as independent input?

Yes, and that is a good way to use it. With a prioritised action list, you can ask several agencies to quote on the same basis and see who responds to it concretely. The audit does not commit you to working with us any further. If you choose another agency, you get a list they can start from; if you choose us, the baseline is already done.
